山东省眼科医院于2004年由国内眼科界唯一的中国工程院院士---谢立信教授创办，是山东省委省政府做大做强 “山东大眼科”，发挥院士效应的重要举措，是山东省眼科研究所“做大做强”的重要步骤，也是国内最大的集医疗、教学、科研、防盲为一体的国有省级三级甲等眼科专科医院之一。 

Shandong Eye Hospital was founded in 2004 by Professor Lixin XIE, the only academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in ophthalmology, which is an important measure taken by Shandong Provincial Committee and Provincial Government to enlarge and strengthen the “Big Ophthalmology in Shandong” and to increase the Academician Effect, and also a significant step of Shandong Eye Institute to “grow bigger and stronger”. Shandong Eye Hospital is one of the largest state-owned provincial-level Third-grade Class-A specialized eye hospital in China that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and blindness prevention.

Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and mainland of China, is committed to advancing patient service, research, and training and education to the highest quality in all major areas of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. We are also dedicated to worthwhile community programs and public education projects. 耶拿光学博物馆位于德国图林根州耶拿市内，是一个科学技术博物馆，专门致力于涉及光学方面的研究和展览，是德国目前唯一一家此类博物馆。

从19世纪中期开始，耶拿逐步发展成了光学工业中心，博物馆向人们展示了几个世纪以来的光学仪器，提供了光学仪器发展的技术和文化历史信息。馆内同时还展出了德国物理学家、光学家、企业家——恩斯特•卡尔•阿贝（Ernst Karl Abbe）和光学仪器企业家卡尔•蔡司（Carl Zeiss）毕生的事业，即对光学事业所做出的重大贡献。

The Deutsches Optisches Museum Jena is a science and technology museum displaying optical instruments from eight centuries. It gives a technical and cultural-historical survey of the development of optical instruments. The development of the city Jena to the centre of the optical industries since the mid-19th-century is integrated in the exhibition, connected with the lifeworks of Ernst Abbe, Carl Zeiss and Otto Schott.

青岛眼科医院成立于1991年1月，是经省卫生计生委（原省卫生厅）批准成立的公立三甲眼科医院，院长由眼科学院士谢立信教授担任。医院拥有四大国家级平台，分别是国家卫计委国家临床重点专科建设单位、教育部国家重点学科联合建设单位、科技部省部共建国家重点实验室培育基地以及国家食品药品监督管理总局国家药物临床试验机构定点医院。

Shandong Eye Institute, located in Qingdao, was founded as an affiliate of Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences in 1991, and has expanded into an integration of Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology (State Key Laboratory Cultivation Base), Qingdao Eye Hospital, Shandong Eye Hospital, Shandong Optometry Center, and China-Japan Friendship Cornea Center.
